java - Should I use PHP or JSP for a chat website? -

The only difference I want to develop a web web application like Yahoo is that I do not make this web based desktop Want to I am implementing it with Ajax in jsp / php. I want to know whether jsp or php would be better for this. What are the advantages or disadvantages of both? Which of the two will you like and why?

What if the JSP application will be slow then php? I'm thinking of using strings with jsp and ajax will reduce the speed of using the strokes? I know that jsp, java and struts are not php but what php is more difficult then JSP?

Use whatever you are a good programmer, use it.
