perl - Quality guide to automake + autoconf and the other intricacies of a build process? -

I am a fairly recent developer, and therefore build processes and there is no such complicated experience of the subject of Automake and autoconf But most of the guides are hard to understand or implement unnecessary complexity. I have several Pearl scripts that I need to deploy in the form of CGI scripts on remote boxes (a mixture of BSD and Ubuntu servers), and I can use a guide that clearly builds a manufacturing process. Does, which will work on many environments without reading more than 100- long documentation for registration.

Anyone know of one?

The personal creation and deployment system, though it comes with a release script which can be used in various dimensions Checks and uploads them to CPAN, but it is easy to change what you need. My intention was that people will use the original idea but they will fulfill their needs.

I gave it to Nordic Pearl Workshop 2006.

Almost everyone has spoken to me, though, seems to make their own release software, so no one is using again. :)

I like to deploy CGI programs in the form of Perl modulin. I specify the location for files, through the normal module :: build process. No big cheetah. I talk about these kinds of things in my book.

I believe that I want to write not only this item for this reply, but in general I do not have time to go everything in this reply, but if you If interested, we can talk further about it.
