Incremental Checksums -

I am looking for a checksum algorithm where the checksum is equal to the sum of the checksums from all to a large block of data The small component block that I got is the most RFC 1624/1141 which provides this functionality whether any of these checksing techniques or anybody have any experience?

I have used only Adler / Checksum which works according to your description.

A good comparison of the crypto + hash / checksum implementation.
