cross browser - Are there any trick to append ... by CSS? -


See my problem

I have an element whose width = 50 px

And to put me in that element is my string " This text is longer than 50px and will appear in two or more rows "

What do I get in my element Do 50px width + ... is the text like this:

This text is more than 50px and will be ...

Is there any good Or the possibility of doing this with CSS Per way?

There is a CSS property for this, but:

  text- Overflow: ellipisis;  

It's supposed to work in Firefox, but none is beautiful.
