login failed for user: The user is not associated with a trusted sql server connection? -

We have an SQL Front End connected to SQL Server 2005 Back End. There is no problem with any user reaching the interface with the exception of one. When trying to interact with the interface, we get a SQL Server connection error telling us that the user is not connected to a trusted SQL Server connection. We are using mixed mode authentication so that there is no problem. We also thought it could be a computer, but the user gets the same error on many computers. Any suggestions?
