asp.net - IIS6 Wildcard Mapping Security Concerns? -

We are looking to use ExtensionLost URL for the first time in our organization. We have requested that our system manager add wildcard mapping to IIS 6 so that all requests are processed through asap net. They are pushing back, citing safety concerns, I do not have enough information about potential security problems with wildcard mapping, to know what security problems can be or can not be. Any feedback would be appreciated. By adding wildcard mapping to IIS6, basically all requests will be processed through a net framework.

I'm not sure about security concerns, but know that never loss of performance
