reporting services - What should i use to generate and print letters -

I am in the process of creating a system that generates printed letters (about 1000 days) which is sent to our customers And wondering what are some good tools to use for it.

So far I have noticed using Crystal Reports and MS Fox Pro Reporting, but there is despair to use them

Has anyone got any good suggestions? SQL Reporting Services and / or word automation any good?

These are my basic needs

  • Bits of information from our DB
  • There are several situations on this that are displayed on the letter on the basis of how the data appears.
  • Ideally easily template the template. It is only for basic changes (for example, non-DB operated parts of a letter) It would be nice if it was easy for a non-IT person to do this.
  • You will need to be able to run approximately 1000 letter batch at a time.

    • Use the mail merge function in Microsoft Word (see description).
