Importing HTML Table into Excel via clipboard -

I want to copy the data from my app to the table in the simplest way I have yet found HTML as the intermediate format Had used. After reading, I could preserve the formatting of my data. Is there a way to keep the width of the columns also? I tried to set the style in different ways:

  & lt; Td style = "width: 100;" & Gt; ... & lt; / Td> & Lt; Td style = "width: 100px;" & Gt; ... & lt; / Td> & Lt; Td style = "width: 100pt;" & Gt; ... & lt; / Td>

But any idea whatsoever to no avail?

For bonus points, is there any place where I can get details of Excel "Format" of Excel?

[edit] Update: I have written a small tool to dump the transaction type "XML Stylesheet". This is a self-contained XML document. It also includes column width. But with a quick test address It turns out that Excel completely ignores the width of the column, even when I cut and paste between two tables: (unless someone can tell me the option to change this behavior, then I It seems that it is not possible to format the column while pasting [EDIT2] I found a way. After a short, you get a small icon in the lower right corner which looks like a paste button in the toolbar. , You can choose some options. "Keep the width of the source table".

I have the XML spreadsheet format ( Old 2002/2003 above the ability of Excel to import an HTML).

< P> I have both written and written libraries to export both directly from NAT, and the XML format is certainly less likely to cause you to lose sleep.
