Web service: PHP or Ruby on Rails or Python? -

I am a Net / SQL Server developer through my day-to-day work, and for the sake of development, I develop some objectives I am the phone I would like to develop a web service and since dreamhost supports Ruby on MySQL, Python, Rail and PHP5, I want to make it using one of those languages. If you do not have any experience on either Python, Ruby or Railway, who will you go with and why? The service basically just takes a request and talks to a MySQL database.

Note: The SOAP was planning to use the protocol .. However I am open with suggestions for suggestions since a clean slate.

Ruby-on-Rail, Python and PHP will all have excellent options for developing a web service . Languages are enabled (Sure Ruby is the language in which Ruby is written on the rail), if you are fancy (Dangogo is an example of a good dragon, and there are some good examples such as Drupal or KPPHP) and can play well With MySQL

I can say that it depends on your previous experience and you will be most comfortable. Assuming that you are developing C # on .NET and the purpose - experience with PHP can be a good option as it is definitely from the C family of the language. So the syntax can be more familiar and it can be a little easier to deal with.

I am a PHP developer, so I will give you that slate and will give more knowledgeable developers along with others to them. PHP is tightly integrated with Apache, which can create some more worldly tasks that you have to handle with others with a little more trivial (though usually removed when working with a framework). It is not behind anyone and it is a great resource to get up and go easily. There is good speed in it and there are good caching mechanisms available to get more performance out of it. I know that running and running with PHP on DreamHost is trivial. I have not done it in other examples, although this would not surprise me if they were as easy as possible.

I suggest digging in each of the documents and frameworks for each language, find out which suits you best
