objective c - Altering the style of an NSSearchField -

I'm thinking how I will change the look of NSSearchField, I'm pretty sure this sub-class would mean NSSearchField, But bit I do not know how to do this code to make it the way I want to see below, you can see the way you want to see it, and how it looks.

How can I make it (on the left) using the code? I'm looking to add that ambosode and reduce the internal shadow.

You need to create a custom NSSearchFieldCell subclass, and draw WithFrame: Override, then your NSSearchField Set that cell to use. You can draw your custom border in the code or use the end-caps images and a background image for the center that you tile horizontally.

Here NSSearchField uses the old code that has been used to create custom NSTextField after the look of a standard before control like a search field.
