SharePoint Designer Workflows - tips and resources? -

I am working on the revision of some existing SPD WF and are strangeling with some concepts in which two Are not showing the same output as WF is to produce the same output.

Is any of you who has worked with SharePoint Designer / Workflows and knows any good resources (more detailed than MSDN introduction) or tips on the case. For debugging and how to monitor settings and to connect information to multiple workflows ...
